Conveniently located in the Botetourt Commons Shopping Center, just 400 yards from the Appalachian Trail, our Daleville store is a favorite pit-stop for thru-hikers and for local residents alike. 

 


Our Daleville store has a great selection of gear and clothing and caters both to the expert outdoorsman and to the novice outdoor enthusiast. With an experienced and knowledgeable staff, Outdoor Trails Daleville is a great place to come and get outfitted from head to toe for day hikes, backpacking trips, camping, climbing, or canoeing.

 

When you visit our Daleville location, be sure to meet our manager, Doug Stanfill.

The shoe expert with a vivid imagination, Douglas Macmacken Stanfill, has officially taken over the managerial position in the wake of Sydney’s (Oh... and Mark’s) absence.

Doug has always had a strong affinity for the great outdoors. He grew up on a small farm in Botetourt County, where he developed a love of nature while exploring the surrounding territories through bushwhacking, hiking, and canoeing the James. This love has only grown, nurtured by his parents, through Boy Scouts and the view out his window. When asked why he has such a strong affection of the outdoors he simply holds out his hands and grins “I only need to look around, this is where we see nature’s grace. The Appalachian Trail snakes between our homes. We live in an area where (at least for now) we can walk over a hill and get away from it all.” Doug is always excited to hear about others’ adventures. And he enjoys helping people satisfy their urges to get out there and experience our greatest gift, Mother Nature.

            		        


When you arrive at our Daleville store, you may be greeted by Sydney, the official Daleville shop dog.

She doesn't spend as much time at the store as she used to, but she likes to stop in whenever she can make time in her busy schedule. Don't worry, Sydney is friendly and great with kids too. She'll probably bring you a toy at some point during your visit. If you throw her frisbee for her, you'll be her new best friend. If you have a dog of your own, she'll be happy to help you pick out something special from any of our pet products. We have a great assortment of collars, leashes, packable dishes, toys, and treats. Just ask Sydney--she's tried them all!

And from time-to-time, you may have the pleasure of running into Mark Futrell, our former store manager. He's still envolved in the business side of the operation and tries to make frequent stops into the shop. So if you see him, say hello and ask him what he's up to these days.
